Toronto, September 29, 2011

— Earlier today CleanTech North (CTN) announced, “Premier McGuinty and the Minister of Research and Innovation Glen Murray have agreed to speak at the Summit, subject to whatever happens in the provincial election on October 6.”

The Summit program includes an awards ceremony to acknowledge the up-and coming stars within Ontario’s clean tech sector. It is appropriate to have McGuinty and Murray as keynote speakers since much of the success within Ontario’s clean tech sector is due in part to the Ontario government’s innovation agenda and legislative initiatives such as the Green Energy Act and the Clean Water Act.  CTN membership applauds the government for its leadership and hopes innovation remains at the forefront of Ontario’s economic development agenda.
