Dave Richardson has considerable experience in environmental and sustainability issues in both the public and private sectors.  He worked on sustainable development planning and reporting as an analyst at Health Canada.  He has experience evaluating energy efficiency and developing plans to reduce organizational carbon footprints.  As a consultant with Mindfirst he has researched corporate sustainability practices and worked with start-up cleantech companies on a variety of projects.  He also works with Better Place, a global electric vehicle services and infrastructure company, to promote the adoption of electric vehicles in Ontario.  His current interests are renewable energy and transitioning to a sustainable energy system.

Dave received a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Civil Engineering from Queen’s University, and a Master’s of Public Policy and Administration from Carleton University.  He will begin work on a PhD focused on renewable energy systems modelling in the Geography Department of the University of Toronto in the fall of 2011.
